THE PROJECT
For as long as we can remember, the music of the High Holidays has been part of our story.
Growing up as the sons of a community rabbi and musician, we spent our childhoods singing these timeless melodies from the bimah alongside our father, long before we ever imagined making music professionally.
Those early experiences planted a lifelong dream: to create an immersive musical journey that helps communities reconnect with the beauty, emotion, and timeless spirit of the Yamim Noraim.

That dream became Returning with Love, inspired by our album of the same name. Blending beloved traditional melodies with original arrangements, personal storytelling, and communal participation, the program invites a renewed sense of purpose as we prepare for the High Holidays.
We have been privileged to bring this experience to Jewish communities across Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and Israel, and are excited to present it in North America. As The Portnoy Brothers, we have performed around the world, shared the stage with Idan Raichel, and collaborated with artists including Shlomo Katz, Zusha, Yosef Karduner and Alex Clare.
